MRSA, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, one of the first bacterium to be classified as a Superbug, has evolved from the original strain of the Staphylococcus bacterium, and now there is an effective cure. The Penicillin family, including Methicillin, are bacterium that had been useful in killing off a wide variety of pathogens, including Staph Infections. But in the real world, the Staph has evolved, and Methicillin, grown in precisely controlled laboratories, has not. This has become a serious for the Medical Industry and there is a great deal of research available surrounding all facets of this difficult world health epidemic. There are several reasons that traditional antibiotics are failing across the board. Common diseases are definitely getting stronger and more resilient against known Antibiotics. Using Microbes to fight off other Microbes on the microbial scale has some serious limitations. In the case of Staph Infections, Methicillin was used to produce micro-liters of a metallic SOD, or SuperOxide Dismutase, which is an excretion product that has the active metallic agent for destroying Staph Bacterium. In a matter of decades, the Staph evolved to put up a very effective enzymatic barrier against Methicillin’s metallic SOD, rendering it near useless.The active metallic molecule in the Methicillin SOD is ZnCuO. This molecule breaks down into three reactive atoms, Zn+, Cu+, and an O- radical; all three are destructive to many pathogens as two antimicrobial metallic ions and an oxidizer. The rest of the dismutase is truly a waste product and is the main source of recognizable bio-markers and enzymatic residues that MRSA has evolved to recognize, and thus defend against. This active metallic molecule is deadly to many forms of microbial life. So much so, that only a few Microbes in one family of Penicillin Bacterium can metabolize ZnCuO without being disrupted by its mere presence inside the cell. Moreover, unique this metabolic process has to reduce at least one Valence Electron from one Oxygen atom. In other words, the Methicillin digestion has to "split apart" an O2 molecule and "strap" one of the Oxygen atoms together two different metallic ions. That takes energy; ~on a microbial scale, that takes a lot of energy! And that is just for the first Valence Energy Level of Oxygen. It is easy to understand why so few Microbes can do this.Because of this added energy, the ZnCuO molecules disassociate quickly into their three ionic components where they each can do their own form of cellular damage, each coming from a different valence energy level. Also because of this added energy, both the ZnCuO and the entrapping biological dismutase that surround it tend to degrade very quickly, within a matter of hours, This can complicate some people's logistical situation when trying to receive their treatment in time.
